With a manufacturing facility in Staplehurst, Kent fully equipped with the latest technology, we are able to provide our customers with the highest level of service and quality. About the role: The role requires assisting the Production Manager & Despatch Team with all aspects of packing & administration, including completion of packing notes, correctly labelling cartons/ crates ready for collection by our couriers and freight hauliers. To be considered for this role you will need to be have the ability to work within a small team, be numerate, have excellent attention to detail and be adaptable to helping colleagues as and when needed. The right candidate will be pro-active in checking all items are correctly finished before packing, wrapped and packed to the specific customer requirements ahead of haulier collection deadlines. Packing Operative Duties • Picking orders for packing inline with the priority order list provided by the Production Manager • Checking each item over for any defects or flaws, highlighting any defects to the Quality team & Production Manager • Selection of the correct packing materials, cartons or crates specific to the order • Following all packing instructions provided on the Works Order & ensure all relevant packing notes/ documents are present in the pack/ completed for the despatch team to process • Liaising with Despatch Dept confirming order completion • Assisting team members with organising and maintaining stocks of packing materials • Assisting Production/Quality Managers with contents of Standard Operating Procedure where any changes are applicable • Assisting in any other tasks that help the department or other departments • Full training provided Required skills & experience • Pro-active can-do attitude • Professional & reliable in approach, good communication & listening skills • Well organised & self-motivated with an excellent eye for detail • Experience in MRP systems [i.e.: Progress Plus], Outlook an advantage • Flexible, able to multi task and think on their feet in a pressured environment • Feel comfortable prioritising a heavy workload and work well under pressure • A minimum of 2 x GCSE grades A-E or equivalent would be desirable • Full, clean driving licence is useful but not essential We acknowledge that the most valuable aspect of business, is the people, and we are looking to recruit the next generation of our workforce We will invest in your success, is it time for you to join our team and start your journey?
