Job summary As a Category 1 responder, North Bristol NHS Trust must have arrangements in place for preparing for and responding to a wide range of incidents, whilst adhering to its duties under the Civil Contingencies Act 2004. Reporting to the Trust Accountable Emergency Officer via the deputy chief operating officer, the post holder will lead and manage the Emergency Preparedness, Resilience and Response function for North Bristol Trust (NBT) and will be the Trust's single point of contact and expert on all matters relating to Emergency Preparedness. Main duties of the job The post holder will ensure the Trust is able to meet its statutory obligations under the Civil Contingencies Act (2004) and complies with all relevant EPRR guidance for the NHS, including guidance that accompanies the Civil Contingencies Act including business continuity and resilience preparedness.
