Mechanical Engineer:

The Food Equipment Group is one of seven ITW decentralized business segments, and is seeking a Mechanical Engineer for the Warewash Division at the Stero/Somat business unit at the Lancaster, PA facility. We are seeking creative candidates to support new and existing product development initiatives.
Warewash Division Description:
The Warewash Business Division is seeking to expand its growth in existing served markets as well as new markets. The Warewash Business Division produces Hobart and Stero brand commercial dishwashers as well as Somat, Hobart, Red Goat, and Master disposer brand food waste processing equipment that are used in hotels, casinos, restaurants, cruise ships, schools and universities and retail.
Position Summary:
As the Mechanical Engineer, you will be working with the Lancaster Engineering team to support the sales, engineering, sourcing, production and service departments. This will involve a variety of tasks, such as SolidWorks part modeling and drafting, part quality checks, alternate part research, documentation and other projects.
What you will do:
1. Review and check fabricated, welded, stamped, cast, plastic parts and assemblies.
2. Evaluate part documentation for accuracy and adequacy of detail.
3. Create models and drawings using SolidWorks software.
4. Research alternates for available production parts.
What we are looking for:
1. Experience with SolidWorks, with a focus on sheet metal and drafting.
2. Understanding of Engineering design and manufacturing processes.
3. Ability to accurately use measurement tools.
4. Microsoft Office and related software proficiency.
Education and experience:
1. High School Diploma.
2. Working towards a degree in Mechanical Engineering.
3. Effective oral and written communication skills.
