Introduction:

You will use excellent communication skills to build a good rapport with this Gentleman to support him to remain independent within his home and keep him happy and comfortable. A friendly, caring attitude with a willingness to help & learn is essential to build a good rapport and ensure he feels safe and comfortable with you supporting him. This post is funded through the Direct Payments scheme and is intended to enable this man’s family to manage his support independently.
Main Duties:
• Provide companionship throughout your time supporting this man by chatting and enjoying life.
• Take an interest in what this man enjoys and support him to achieve his goals. This man enjoys keeping active on his exercise equipment and learning new skills on his computer.
• Prepare food and drink as and when required.
• When working at lunchtime prepare a lunch that this man would enjoy and provide companionship.
• Provide support with personal care as and when required.
• Support him with household tasks that are required
• To carry out any other reasonable requests that the employer may make from time to time.
• Providing support for this man to access the community may be part of this position in the future therefore this job requires a Personal assistant has a full clean driving license.
• Support to attend any appointments this man may have.
• Ensure this man’s safety at all times during your working period
