The role: We are currently recruiting a Weighbridge Operator to join our Quarry team based in Christchurch. This is a permanent part-time role, 11 hours over 2 days a week & ideally, you will have the ability to cover other shifts for holiday/sick cover.
You will be the first point of contact for all our Quarry customers, your duties will include meeting & greeting customers, coordinating with the quarry team, weighing vehicles arriving and departing, data entry, and other general administration tasks such as filing & reporting.
Shift Schedule:
You will be responsible for:
* Weighbridge data entry – the accurate entry of information into the Nimbus Information System for all product movements over the weighbridge.
* Product loadout – coordination with Quarry operators to ensure that the product for customers is loaded as quickly and efficiently as possible.
* General duties – answering the telephone and greeting visitors at the office site.
* Provide backup for other roles within the weighbridge team to ensure coverage in circumstances when another team member is absent (sick, on leave, on training courses).
What you bring to the role:
* Experience in face-to-face & over-the-phone customer services is essential.
* Experience working within a similar or quarry environment will be a definite advantage.
* A can-do attitude, willingness to learn, and an ability to work with others is required.
* Flexibility to hours.
* Being a leader in safe working practices is mandatory.
