If so, we have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Business Development Manager to join our Rethink Events team!
The Senior Business Development Manager will be selling sponsorship and exhibition space across a portfolio of high growth B2B conferences in the agri-tech, food-tech and sustainability sectors.
We are the market leading conference producer in an exciting, dynamic and high growth market and this is a huge opportunity for an exceptional sales manager who relishes the prospect of joining a highly reputed company and who will help shape and grow the business over the coming years.
Rethink Events, part of the William Reed Group, is a fast-growing company specialising in international business conferences focused on sustainability and innovation in the food, agtech, materials, and water sectors. Known for delivering major global events, Rethink’s summits take place in San Francisco, Singapore, Sao Paulo, Chicago, Dubai, Mexico City and London.
What you’ll be doing:
* Tracking and reporting on the Business Development and delegate sales teams’ monthly performance against targets.
* Supporting Business Development team members in accurately forecasting sales, identifying any gaps, and helping them identify the most effective routes to achieving their goals and targets.
* Managing and mentoring the business development executives in the World Agri-Tech portfolio.
* Contributing and delivering team training sessions in collaboration with the other Senior BDMs.
* Selling across the entire portfolio of summits and supporting existing projects.
* Working with the research team to gain a comprehensive understanding of the target audience and prospects for your portfolio of products.
* Researching the market and generating new leads for each campaign.
* Reaching a guide of five effective calls per day.
* Attending key Rethink Events and organizing business development trips to meet clients.
* Generating new business, closing sales, and hitting targets.
* Managing and implementing the sponsorship deliverables according to the contracts.
Requirements
What you’ll need:
* Hands-on industry experience in sales selling B2B to senior level business executives.
* Strong, proven seller with excellent sales figures.
* To be ambitious and financially driven.
* To have a passion for sustainability and tech.
* To be hard working with a high pace of work.
* Excellent communication skills, including telephone communication.
* A demonstrable understanding of the consultative selling process.
* The ability to build a sales pipeline and provide quantitative reporting to management.
* Experience using sales software such as Salesforce, Goldmine, ZoHo or similar software.
* To be willing to travel internationally.
* Willingness to align working hours with your destination market.
* Having a solid understanding and experience of the B2B conference model would be desirable but not essential.
* Having an understanding of Digital advertising space is a plus but not essential.
* Experience in the sustainability or cleantech sectors is advantageous but not essential.
