Job Title: Senior Planning Engineer Location: Hinkley Point C, Somerset Role Type: Permanent An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Project Planner to support the mechanical and electrical installation works within the turbine hall at Hinkley Point C. This role is ideal for an experienced planner with strong analytical skills, capable of developing and maintaining complex project schedules while ensuring seamless coordination across teams. The Role As a Project Planner, you will be responsible for maintaining and reporting on project schedules, progress tracking, and resource planning to support project delivery. Key responsibilities include: - Developing and maintaining schedules for design, engineering, construction, and commissioning phases. - Tracking project progress, recording delays, and conducting float path analysis. - Producing weekly and monthly reports on milestones, Earned Value Management (EVM), and schedule performance. - Conducting site progress verification and integrating quality assessments into reporting. - Leading planning meetings and coordinating with clients and subcontractors. - Resource and cash flow loading into project schedules. - Providing planning data for payment applications and contract reviews. - Identifying schedule risks and advising on solutions. Skills & Experience Required - Strong experience in project planning, ideally within construction, nuclear, or infrastructure projects. - Proficiency in Primavera P6 and Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word). - Ability to work independently, prioritizing workloads and problem-solving under pressure. - Strong communication and negotiation skills, with experience leading meetings. - Excellent organizational skills, capable of managing strict deadlines and multiple stakeholders. - Degree in a construction-related field (preferred). - Minimum of 5 years experience in project planning within a construction environment. - Knowledge of health, safety, and environmental requirements in large-scale infrastructure projects.
