This is a unique and exciting opportunity to work with a young man, as we are looking for a team of Specialist Advanced Support Workers to help settle him into his new home and promote his independence.
We are looking for Specialist Advanced Support Workers who are calm, patient and skilled in verbal and non-verbal communication.
This service is located in Burtonwood, Warrington.
He is interested in films and music and would like someone who can talk about those things. He loves football, being active and he will have his own gym in his home, so needs staff to be active and able to get involved in physical activity with him. It is important to his wellbeing that he can be active every day. He loves gadgets and playing his PlayStation.
At other times he likes the environment to be quiet and to have his own space.
Your values:
The ideal candidate will have a Level 3 in Social Care and strong experience in mental health, autism, learning disabilities and physical health.
If you do not have a qualification, you will need to have relevant experience in social care.
You will know how to connect with people and be passionate about supporting people to live independently. You will also be a brilliant mentor and share your skills and experiences with your colleagues.
We will develop your talents with a range of specialist training, including the opportunity to learn Positive Behaviour Support methods.
For this role, driving would be a huge benefit, as this property is not easily accessible via public transport.
