As Frontend Web Developer, you will build out the next generation of our websites and platform s. The ideal candidate is a hands-on developer with experience in developing scalable platforms. We’re looking for someone with experience in frontend development. They must have strong customer focus and communication skills. What will you be doing? W rite code in one or more programming or scripting languages, such as React, TypeScript Collaborate with designers, developers and project team on new product developments Working with external customers Gather and document product requirements from internal/external customers Define and communicate technical and design requirements Provide 2 nd line technical support P lan and prototype new applications Collaborate in d esign ing the architecture of the components of an application Collaborate on the best technologies and languages for the project Design and develop web pages (WordPress), email templates Problem-solve Main tain and improve existing portals and sites Fix bugs in existing projects T est sites and applications in different browsers and environments T est new features thoroughly to ensure they perform the correct task in all cases Build and maintain databases L earn new technologies, frameworks and languages S tay up to date with new trends in web development What will you need? Essential: Experience within frontend development U nderstanding of the entire web development process (design, development and deployment). U nderstanding and knowledge of scripting languages such as : JavaScript React, TypeScript. A solid understanding of how web applications work including security, session.management, and best development practices. A logical approach to problem solving. Ability to work independently and in multidisciplinary teams. Excellent organisational and time management skills. A bility to manage a complex range of tasks and meet deadlines. Very good communication skills. Desirable: Experience with WordPress. E xperience of development methodologies (such as Agile, Scrum and Waterfall). Knowledge of development approaches (MVC) and requirements prioritisation ( MoSCoW, LEAN Matrix). Experience using issue tracking tools ( such as: Jira, Mantis ). Knowledge of backend programming language s and frameworks (PHP, Laravel ). Experience with cloud technologies ( e.g. Amazon Web Services, Github, Bitbucket ). Knowledge of u ser authentication and authorization between multiple systems, servers, and environments. Integration of multiple data sources and databases into one system. Management of hosting environment, including database administration and scaling an application to support load changes.
