As an Internal Sales Representative within our Mortar department based in Buxton, Derbyshire, you will demonstrate knowledge of proactive lead generation, outbound calling, and have a proven track record in sales. You will demonstrate behaviours focused on Customer Service, addressing underlying needs, driving improvement, and applying thinking skills to solve complex problems as they arise. You will hold the ability to meet sales goals and demonstrate effective client relationship management. In addition, you should have a positive attitude, be customer-focused, and driven to succeed. You will possess good communication skills and be proactive and numerate. You will work well in a team environment, whilst also having the ability to work on your own initiative.
A current full driving license is required as plant and customer visits can be requested as part of the role.
Role Responsibility
Reporting to our Internal Sales Team Leader, the Internal Sales Representative will be responsible for servicing existing accounts and obtaining orders. In addition, you will establish new accounts through calling on existing or new customers and contractors.
You will also take responsibility for:
1. Responding to all customer enquiries
2. Inputting quotations/notes on our in-house SAP system
3. Using bespoke lead generation systems
4. Monitoring competition by gathering current marketplace information on pricing, locations, and products
5. Participating fully in a coaching process which seeks to support the growth and performance of the entire commercial team.
The Ideal Candidate
* Working well in a team environment, whilst also having the ability to work on your own initiative.
* A current full driving license is required as plant and customer visits can be requested as part of the role.
