Emergency Department Administrative Assistant
Frimley Park Hospital
Our fast-paced Emergency Department provides life-saving care 24/7, treating over 100,000 patients each year. We are seeking a reliable and level-headed Administrative Assistant to support our team in this critical environment.
About The Role
As an Administrative Assistant, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth operation of the Emergency Department. You must be able to remain calm under pressure, work independently with minimal supervision, and be flexible to cover colleagues’ absences when needed.
Key Responsibilities
* Reception duties, including greeting patients and visitors
* Handling telephone inquiries in a professional manner
* Scanning and processing documents
* Face-to-face interaction with patients and relatives
* Completing additional administrative tasks as required
Requirements
* Previous experience working with the public is essential
* Basic PC skills (full training on the hospital system will be provided)
* Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
Shifts Available
Morning, afternoon, evening, and weekend shifts are available. Flexibility to cover additional hours during staff absences or training is required.
