Job summary
We are lookingto recruit a receptionist to join our small and friendly GP Practice. Therole will be for 25 hours per week, (5 hours a day) Monday to Friday between the hours of to, however, you will be asked to cover the odd Saturday morning.
We are looking for a dynamic, friendly and contentious person, who wants to work for the NHS.
We are situated in the middle of Nantwich, which is a lovely market town to visit.
Main duties of the job
The candidatesmust be enthusiastic and computer literate with very good IT skills andpreferably, be experienced in using EMIS web clinical system. Have goodcommunication and be empathetic towards patients using the practice; also to workas part of our secretarial team, providing cover for our secretary during timesof annual leave and sickness.

Primary Responsibilities
1.Maintainingand monitoring the Practice appointment system
2.Processpersonal, telephone and e-requests for appointments
3.Answerincoming phone calls, transferring calls or dealing with the callers requestsappropriately.
4.Monitoringand signposting patient requests from our line consultation system, PATCHS
5.Carenavigate patients to the correct service
6.Initiatingcontact with and responding to, requests from patients, team members andexternal agencies
7.ImportingPhotocopy documentation as required
8.Dataentry of new and temporary registrations and relevant patient information asrequired
9.Inputdata into the patient's healthcare records as necessary
10. Provide cover for our Secretary on aMonday and Tuesday and also on occasions of annual leave and sickness
11. Manage all queries as necessary in anefficient manner
12. Maintain a clean tidy, effective workingarea at all times
13. Monitor and maintain the Reception areaand notice boards
14. Support all clinical staff with generaltasks as requested
