Technical Programme Managers (TPMs) are responsible for delivering complex, cross-functional technology programmes that directly contribute to ensuring colleagues can serve our customers better. They work collaboratively, influence Product, Engineering, Operations, and business colleagues and lead the programme to deliver value quickly and often.

You will be responsible for
You will be responsible for delivering critical elements of the Safer Stores Programme, initially focusing on integration and roll out of Body Worn Video across the store estate. This is a critical programme, focused on delivering integrated technology to support colleague safety. Scope includes infrastructure deployment, network changes and software integration to the Video Platform and incident management toolset.
Overview of the role’s key responsibilities and measures:
* Shape end to end delivery of programmes with ambiguous scope and uncertain delivery approach. Collaborate with teams across Tesco to remove ambiguity and agree the direction of the programme.
* Engage appropriate teams and resources to drive effective decisions and delivery. This includes ensuring governance processes are followed to ratify decisions and plans.
* Maintain active engagement of all stakeholders during the project, to ensure the smooth implementation and running of the solution (e.g. Security, business change, service support).
* Drive delivery leadership across programme scope, energising the team to deliver programme goals. This includes agreeing effective ways of working that ensure alignment between workstreams, avoiding gaps, and driving clarity on the objectives for each delivery team.
You will need
An ideal candidate must have demonstrated below key skills and experience in their current and past roles:
* Have a proven record of accomplishment in delivering technology and infrastructure programmes; having done so across multiple teams in large scale customer facing organisations.
* Experience of implementing Body Worn Video Solutions or Security technology and hardware solution in a Retail context is advantageous.
* To be a proactive problem solver, with good technical experience - able to facilitate collaborative solution definition. To demonstrate a flexible, ‘can do’ attitude – able to motivate teams and deliver prioritised business outcomes in challenging circumstances.
* Have experience of building credible relationships and influencing senior management & leadership teams.
* Strong project planning, Stakeholder & Programme management skills.
* Minimum of 5+ years of programme delivery leadership. With experience of managing delivery of multi-workstream teams of minimum 10+ individuals.
