Role Profile This role will be responsible for the repair, maintenance and installation of machines, tools and equipment along with the maintenance of facilities. Working for the EHS & Maintenance Leader and alongside other Maintenance Technicians, this role will require a technically competent person who has the ability to work on their own initiative. Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities Ensure compliance with the competencies identified within the EHS Management System manual Promote a positive, participative, and proactive culture throughout the site that heavily focuses on safety of personnel and quality of products Supporting the execution of the preventative and predictive maintenance program to achieve maximum plant availability, with a target of zero unplanned downtime Working in conjunction with the Planning teams, communicate the PPM plan, ensuring that all key stakeholders are aware of the maintenance of equipment across the site. In the event of a breakdown, communication to all key stakeholders on a frequent basis to provide the relevant updates Managing and continually improving facilities across the site to provide a safe, professional, and clean environment. Managing any contractors who visit site; ensuring that all new contractors have inductions (when required), contractors are working safely and to all relevant standards / work processes and ensuring that the work that is undertaken by the contractor is correct and to the required specification. Working alongside other members of the Maintenance team, undertake the management of statutory requirements including engineering inspections and corrective actions including: lifting equipment and appliances, power presses, LEV, pressure vessels etc.), fire alarms and PAT Assuming the responsibility (in conjunction with the rest of the team) for the management of legionella prevention and undertaking the relevant tests as per legislation and best practice Attending breakdowns of machines by being the ‘go to’ person and re-prioritising other jobs to ensure minimal downtime Supporting the introduction and commissioning of new equipment Ensuing that Occupational Health, Safety and Environmental (OHSE) requirements and legislation are met at all times Any other maintenance request that would be reasonable to your skill set Person Specification Multi skilled maintenance engineer Breakdown, preventive and predictive maintenance experience Working knowledge of electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems Ability to understand electrical / hydraulic / pneumatic circuit diagrams Knowledge of fault finding on PLC’s. Knowledge of CNC machinery Self-motivated and works under own initiative Strong problem-solving skills Good Communication skills Ability to manage projects and prioritise workload within agreed timescales Ability to be flexible to assume the role of Maintenance across all areas of the business Desirable but not essential skills Working knowledge of: Vacuum and conventional furnaces Presses Resistance welding equipment EDM
