About the Role
Davenham Switchgear Limited has an exciting opportunity for a Procurement & Logistics Manager to join our team based in Fairham, Nottingham. You will join us on a full-time, permanent basis and in return, you will receive a competitive salary of £50,000 - £52,000.
Hours
37 hours (including unpaid 30 minutes lunch break) - 8-4.30 Mon-Thu, Fri 8-1pm.
Key Responsibilities
* Collaborate closely with other departments to ensure production plans align with material availability and customer demand.
* Develop and implement production schedules to optimise operational capacity and meet customer requirements.
* Oversee logistics operations, including transportation, warehousing, and distribution, to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of products.
* Manage inventory levels to balance stock availability with minimising obsolescence and excess.
* Monitor and improve logistics processes to enhance delivery performance and reduce costs.
* Ensure compliance with relevant regulatory requirements and company policies.
* Prepare and present reports on procurement and logistics performance to senior management.
* Drive cross-functional collaboration to address operational challenges and implement solutions.
What We Are Looking For
* Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, operations, logistics, business administration, transportation, engineering or equivalent.
* Experience in a similar position within a manufacturing setting.
* Strong knowledge of production planning, logistics, and inventory management principles.
* Strong team player with exceptional organisational and analytical skills.
* Ability to manage, coach, and provide training for direct reports.
* Working knowledge of Microsoft packages, logistics and inventory software.
