An exciting opportunity has arisen for experienced Catering Assistants to join our team in providing a high quality dining experience for patients, families, visitors, students and staff at Strathcarron Hospice.
You must have well developed communication skills, be able to work well in a small team and be able to demonstrate your ability to relate to the public in a caring setting. We are seeking someone who is passionate about developing within their role to gain more cooking skills and knowledge.
Previous experience of working in a catering environment is essential, preferably in a healthcare setting and applicants should also hold an intermediate food hygiene certificate or be willing to work toward this.
The kitchen is open 7 days a week from 7am to 7pm and we have two shift patterns 0700-1430 and 1100-1900. Applicants should be flexible in the days they can work and be able to cover both shift patterns.
Training and supervision will be an integral part of the post holder’s development.
The post is subject to a check by the Protecting Vulnerable Groups Scheme.
