Henderson Brown is delighted to be representing our client within the Food sector, seeking a Maintenance Engineer to join their team. This is a key hire for the business, in which you will be responsible for both solving breakdowns and preventative maintenance on their processing and packaging machinery. Key Responsibilities: Conduct preventative maintenance and perform timely repairs. Support production and packing departments consistently. Maintain high standards of health, safety, and housekeeping. Follow HSE protocols, including Permit to Work and Risk Assessments. Ensure safety by always adhering to lock-off procedures. Respond quickly to breakdowns and take necessary actions. Complete general maintenance tasks such as lubrication and schedule adherence. Undertake small projects and modifications as required. Requirements: A Level 3 equivalent qualification Electrical/Mechanical Engineering, such as an NVQ/HNC/ONC or City and Guilds etc Previous experience within the food industry Knowledge of 17th Edition I.E.E. regulations PLC Fault finding skills, to I/O Level A positive, proactive attitude Ability to read, understand, and work with schematic drawings Welding experience (MIG/TIG/ARC) Experience with Computerised Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) is a plus This position functions on a 2-week rotation, as follows: Week 1 - Monday to Friday 05.00 - 15.00 Week 2 - Monday to Friday 16.00 - 02.00 One Saturday in four 06.00 - 12.00 With various benefits and a great package in place, this is a great opportunity for a well-established Maintenance Engineer.
