Cambs Farm Growers based at Hainey, Cambs are recruiting an Operations Manager – Root Veg to be responsible for all staff within the root veg growing and harvest operations. The successful candidate will have responsibility for the Root Veg growing and harvest operations. Managing all key areas such as, health & safety, quality, cost, operations, and yield. Executing weekly operations including planting, irrigation, spraying, and harvest in line with growing and harvest programmes and operational plans done by the Crop Manager. Key Responsibilities: Liaison with Suppliers, Field Managers, Agronomic and Technical Team on a day-to-day basis. Day-to-day managing of the Root Veg growing and Harvest operation. Deliver, monitor and maintain operational targets and KPI’s. Ensure team is compliant with all relevant training related to the role. Have clear communication within the Root Veg team and the wider business. Control and responsibility of the quality and production. Managing and developing field teams. Make sure all administration is up to date relating to the growing operations. Manage your working environment such that it is both safe and reflects a professional attitude.
