Location: Rare Breeds Centre, Canterbury Oast Trust Working Pattern: Full-time (37.5 hours/week), Monday to Sunday (flexibility to work weekends on a rota basis) Salary: £28,957.50 per annum Job Summary: We are looking for an Animal Livestock Lead to manage the care and welfare of our farm livestock. You will ensure high standards of animal care, maintain compliance with legal requirements, and contribute to our educational and visitor programs. Key Responsibilities: Lead on animal medical care, breeding, and welfare supervision. Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with legal requirements. Oversee animal life cycles, housing, and stock management. Collaborate on educational programs and visitor experiences. Act as a Duty Manager and participate in out-of-hours tasks. Skills and Experience: Extensive hands-on farm animal experience. Formal livestock qualification or equivalent experience. Excellent husbandry skills. Ability to work weekends as per rota. Clear criminal records check, clean driving license, and right to work in the UK.
