We are currently recruiting for an Assistant Merchandiser!
Purpose of Position:
The purpose of this position is to support the Merchandiser in planning and trading of the department/s, driving sales through effective stock planning and intake management, store analysis, as well as in-depth daily, weekly, and seasonal stock and sales analysis.
Areas of Responsibility:
STOCK MANAGEMENT
1. Under the guidance of the Merchandiser, assist with sales forecasting at brand level.
2. Help support the Merchandiser manage the WSSI and OTB process.
3. Ensure stock replenishment is maintained to drive sales and deliver optimum product availability, working towards 98% availability across A-C graded SKUs.
4. Line card management and long lead stock planning.
5. Oversee the MAA with raising Pos.
6. With guidance from the Merchandiser manage the intake of stock in line with agreed department stock levels in order to maximise sales potential, suggesting ways to mitigate any risks.
7. Work closely with the inventory team to ensure efficient stock flow through the DC and being able to phase stock in and out as necessary.
8. Identify department & brand specific inventory liabilities and work with the Merchandiser and vendors to resolve.
9. Responsible for ranging SKUs for initial allocation of product by store in line with business requirements.
10. Manage store and online forecasts at brand/sku level in AGR.
TRADING
1. Prepare weekly trade summaries of KPIs within departments of responsibility to the B&M team, providing key insights on the best/worst sellers to influence stock and trading decisions.
2. Analyse sales at all product levels, identifying trends, opportunities for growth and highlighting potential risk to Merchandiser.
3. Provide analysis for the success of promos and events.
4. Conduct ad-hoc analysis as required on specific products/product groups.
5. Assist in the generation of markdown proposals and analysis.
MERCHANDISING SYSTEMS
1. Develop excellent working knowledge of all Merchandising systems, NAV, AGR, Qlikview, Qliksense.
2. Action detailed data integrity checks as necessary to ensure the efficient running of the department e.g. product lifecycle status and hierarchy accuracy.
MANAGEMENT, TRAINING AND DEVELOPMENT
1. Develop and build strong relationships and networks with cross functional partners both internally and externally, Buying, Trading, Marketing, Inventory Merch, Brands.
2. Take responsibility for own personal development.
3. Assist in the development and training of the MAAs.
Qualifications, Knowledge and Experience:
1. Excellent Excel skills.
2. Experience of multi brand business.
3. Experience in long lead stock planning.
4. Knowledge of a multi-channel business, stores, and ecommerce ideal.
