Primary Purpose: The Manager will lead the Coach Europe Inventory Management team to create, finalize and drive in-season management of OTB plan across Retail, Ecommerce and Outlet channels, leveraging total regional inventory ownership opportunities. A key role in delivering performance against sales and margin targets, maximizing pre and in-season inventory and driving cross channel inventory optimization opportunities.
Reporting to the Tapestry Senior Director, Inventory Management & Allocation, the Manager will lead, develop and inspire a team of two, a Senior Inventory Management Planner and Inventory Management Planner.
The successful individual will leverage their proficiency in Inventory Management to:
1. Lead annual inventory management for Coach Europe
2. Monthly sales reforecast against OTB plans, supporting with the evaluation of business performance and update of sales, shipments, inventory, GM%, DR% targets, and stock turn
3. Drive total Europe inventory optimization, in line with global targets to support delivery of the Coach Europe Annual Operating plan and facilitate inventory optimization
4. Maintain and publish seasonal OTB, including sales, gross margin, shipment, inventory turn and W.O.H targets at dept/class level
5. Manage the carryover vs seasonal inventory strategy (NOOS management) in-season trading, driving risk and opportunity discussions
6. Determine optimal multi-brand DC fulfilment at time of seasonal buys (utilising planning system and tools)
7. Utilise planning system management and ensure deliverables are met by the team
8. Partner with Buying teams to drive movement of aged inventory through relevant channels and share timelines with the business
9. Collate and present inventory overview and weekly trade to Global teams and Leadership team
10. Partner closely with the Finance team to align on short- and long-term sales, gross margin, and inventory targets; support monthly planning process with the goal of collaborative alignment
The accomplished individual will possess:
1. 4+ years’ experience in inventory management/merchandise planning
2. Highly commercial, numerate and analytical, and familiar with demand planning processes; operates with a clear command of key financial drivers in driving a business
3. Advanced computer skills in Excel and retail planning systems e.g RPAS, Cora, SAP
4. Knowledge of the fashion or accessories luxury goods market
5. Proven people management skills with the ability to effectively communicate, mentor and problem solve
6. Organised and analytical with strong attention to detail
7. Experience of working with a global company/brand
8. Ability to manage own workload and effectively focus on multiple priorities
9. Excellent collaborator with the desire to achieve team objectives and goals
10. Experience working with European markets
