Proposed Interview Date: Monday 24th March 2025 The role The successful candidates will provide support to our male service users at our male only projects. You will be expected to work sympathetically with service users who have complex needs; for example, homelessness, drug and alcohol misuse issues, mental and/or physical health needs, offending behaviour etc. Our aim is to empower service users, actively engaging them with the community and helping them to support each other, to develop resilience, to live independently and to be an asset to the community. The right fit It is essential to have demonstrable support worker experience, working with service users who have been homeless and/or have complex needs including, mental health, substance misuse and domestic abuse etc. You must be able to assess service users’ needs in order to plan and deliver effective and engaging support. You’ll have strong organisational and communication skills – both written and verbally. You’ll be able to manage risk, ensuring that all procedures are followed, and risk is managed appropriately. You’ll have the ability to support service users in volunteering and community work involving group activities. You must be flexible to work weekends on a rota basis. You may on occasion be required to travel so access to a vehicle is desirable. Who we are Petrus provides support services for people facing homelessness or in housing need.
