Encore Packaging Solutions are looking to recruit a manufacturing apprentice. The role will require the ideal candidate to work, assist and train as an operator on the folder gluer line.

£15,704 for your first year, then could increase depending on your age

Work
Most of your apprenticeship is spent working. You’ll learn on the job by getting hands-on experience.
What you’ll do at work
Duties & Responsibilities of Folder Gluer Operator:
* Setting up and running straight line glue jobs, 4/6 corner and crash lock boxes manufactured from corrugated and / or folding carton board
* Achieve daily production plan
* Comply with company processes and procedures
* Achieve daily, monthly and annual targets for the team, KPIs and OEE
* Maintain a high level of housekeeping
* Passing of own work
* Work with a flexible approach and when required assist with other processes in the factory
* Comply will all company health and safety procedures
Full training will be provided on running the Bobst Folder Gluer machine.

Your training plan
The successful candidate will complete Level 2 Lean Manufacturing Apprenticeship Standard. This will be delivered in college one day per month and a workplace visit once a month from the college tutor.
If you do not hold any Maths and English qualifications, you will need to complete Functional Skills at level 1 and/or 2. Maths and English classes would be weekly until the exams are passed.
