Salary: £55,000pa - £60,000pa + benefits
Working Format: Hybrid working 3 office and 2 home
Reports to: Senior Manager Sales Engineering

About the Role
We are seeking a motivated and skilled Sales Engineer to join our dynamic team, focusing on the Airports and Parcel segment across the EMEA and LATAM regions (Northern Europe and Middle East). In this role, you will support the growth of key markets and collaborate with other customer centers globally, assisting with Sales Layout Engineering, Sales Engineering, and Sales Consultancy.
As a Sales Engineer, your primary responsibility will be to identify customer needs early in the sales process and translate these into a winning technical solution that balances technology with competitive pricing. You will work closely with the Sales Manager to secure projects through pre-bid, bid, and closing phases while ensuring that technical solutions align with customer goals.
Key Responsibilities
* Collaborate with the Sales Manager to define a winning sales strategy and translate it into a comprehensive technical solution.
* Address commercial and tactical challenges alongside the Sales Manager.
* Understand customer processes, operations, and tender procedures, and translate customer needs into an overall solution.
* Organize and manage all sales engineering deliverables throughout the sales process, working with internal technical experts to develop the best possible solution.
* Lead the internal sales project team in line with the sales (bid) planning, driving the team toward the agreed solution.
* Provide regular updates to senior management on bid status and progress.
* Compile and present a clear quotation that integrates technical solutions, planning, pricing, and terms and conditions, aligned with budget estimates.
* Present technical solutions to customers in a clear and engaging way, demonstrating the value of the proposed solution.
* Manage multiple projects across different sales phases simultaneously.
* Listen attentively to customer requirements, analyze them thoroughly, and ensure that the final solution meets their expectations.
Skills and Experience Required
* Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
* BSc/MSc in a technical field.
* Proven experience with material handling systems is highly preferred.
* Experience with customer interaction, including presenting and conducting workshops, is strongly preferred.
* Preferred experience in the Airport/Parcel domain.
* Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
* Willingness to travel occasionally.
