Position: Senior M&E Quantity Surveyor Reporting to: Commercial Manager As a Senior M&E Quantity Surveyor, you will play a vital role in managing the financial and cost-control aspects of various M&E projects. Your expertise will ensure that projects are delivered within budget, to the highest standards, and in compliance with all relevant regulations and company policies. Key Responsibilities Cost Management and Reporting: Prepare and maintain accurate cost reports, ensuring all financial aspects of the project are closely monitored. Track costs and project progress, identifying variances and implementing corrective measures as required. Procurement: Oversee the procurement of subcontractors and suppliers, ensuring best value while meeting project requirements. Negotiate, finalise, and manage contracts with subcontractors and suppliers. Valuations and Payments: Prepare and submit monthly valuations and payment applications to clients. Review and process subcontractor payment applications, ensuring accuracy and timely payment. Budget Control: Develop and manage project budgets, maintaining accurate forecasting and effective financial control. Identify and mitigate financial risks and capitalise on opportunities throughout the project lifecycle. Change Management: Manage the change control process, ensuring all variations are properly recorded and valued. Negotiate and agree final accounts with clients and subcontractors. Project Support: Provide financial and commercial advice to the project team, ensuring all contractual and commercial matters are effectively managed. Work closely with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery. Experience and Skills Experience: Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a Quantity Surveying role within the M&E sector. Track Record: Proven ability to manage the financial aspects of commercial, residential, and education projects. Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of M&E systems and their financial implications.
