Role Purpose
An opportunity has arisen within the Community Initiatives team to facilitate the Access to Food partnership across Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole. This existing role works closely with a range of partners, who are focused on enabling people to feed themselves and their families nutritious food, all of the time. 1. Facilitate partners to collaborate and share knowledge across the network, by organising regular steering group meetings; Forum meetings and events; creating newsletters; working towards an action plan and key priorities.
2. Promote and raise awareness of the support available so that those who need support receive it when and where they need it; by keeping the Access to Food map updated and through communication materials and platforms.
3. Understand evolving community needs and work with others to consider and develop relevant initiatives and projects.
4. Support the network through partner resources, such as training and promoting funding opportunities.
You will be based at the Civic Centre and be out and about meeting with community food projects, as well as have the opportunity for some remote/home working.
The Ideal Candidate
Our ideal candidate will be someone who can positively communicate with stakeholders at all levels. You will have experience in community engagement and co-ordinating projects and events. We are looking for someone who is able to effectively plan and manage working on a number of projects and activities.
