This particular role is at our Bakkavor Spalding site, which employs over 1,470 people across 3 manufacturing facilities & 1 Distribution Centre. We specialise in making hand crafted sandwich wraps, salads, dips, soups & sauces and mayonnaise. About the role. We have an exciting opportunity for a motivated and detail orientated person to join our Spalding Technical Team as one of our Process Technologists. Working in a process team you will work collaboratively with Production and New Product Development to ensure that the correct processes are in place to scale product development across our Spalding sites. Accountabilities: Understanding of critical path Understanding of microbiological and nutritional sampling procedures ensuring compliance Completion of QAS’s to high standard and to customer expectations Understanding of customer requirements Delivery of validations in association with site CCPs and HACCP principles in line with project delivery. Proactively communicating potential issues which may impact the critical path. Ensures all materials have RM approval status or appropriate concession for trials. Completion of controlled documents for trials, pre-productions and launches against the customer specification & BOM. To operate in a safe working manner and support the site/business on continuous improvement relating to health, safety, and the environment About you. Previous demonstrable experience in a manufacturing environment in at least one of the following disciplines: Technical; Production; Development; or graduated in related discipline Project Coordination: The ability to understand the critical path and deliver within agreed timeframe Good organisational skills with the ability to multi-task and manage own time/workload Is aware of the business issues; trials; development concepts and customer expectations A pragmatic in approach to problem solving and is agile in finding solutions Vigilant with good attention to detail and spots opportunities for improvement A self-starter who is inquisitive and driven to improve What you’ll receive.
