Ranworth Primary Care Network have an exciting opportunity for a PCN pharmacy technician to join our PCN on a full time, permanent basis. The role is covering the Ranworth PCN which is made up of the 4 practices and around 31,000 patients in Clacton on Sea and Frinton on Sea. T his position is to commence in April 2025. The post-holder will provide support to the lead clinical pharmacist by assisting with professional advice, technical services and direct support to GPs, nurses, HCAs and other support staff. Core responsibilities will include; Manage repeat prescription requests. Resolve queries and assist with administrative aspects of medicine management as appropriate. Review dates following medication reviews. Facilitate and document correct addition and removal of medications. Coordinate district nurse medication and dressing requests. Coordinate medical device prescription requests. Provide information to patients regarding prescription changes. Implement initiatives to reduce waste of prescribed medicines. About the Candidate You will be a qualified pharmacy technician with strong experience within primary care and have the following skills and qualifications: Essential: Educated to GCSE level or equivalent. NVQ level 3 in Pharmacy Services or equivalent. Registration with General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC). Experience working with the general public. Experience of medicines management or dispensing role in the community or within a hospital setting. Experience of working as a pharmacy technician.
