Job Summary
We are a small charity residential care home for the elderly, seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Financial Administrator to join our team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in managing financial records, ensuring compliance with regulations, and supporting the overall financial health of the organisation. This position requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively within a dynamic environment.
Responsibilities
1. Maintain accurate financial records and ensure timely processing of invoices, payments, and receipts.
2. Conduct regular audits of financial transactions to ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulations.
3. Liaise with external auditors during annual audits and provide necessary documentation.
4. Assist in the development of financial policies and procedures to improve efficiency.
5. Monitor cash flow and assist in managing bank relationships.
6. Oversee Payroll.
7. Respond to financial inquiries from staff and management in a timely manner.
Qualifications
1. Previous experience in a financial administration role is desired.
2. Strong proficiency in accounting software Sage 50 and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
3. Excellent organisational skills with a keen attention to detail.
4. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
5. Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data effectively.
6. Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
7. Knowledge of relevant financial regulations and compliance standards is beneficial.
