Job Summary:
We are seeking a motivated and results-driven Business Development Executive to join a dynamic team. This position would suit a highly motivated proactive individual with current experience in targeting new business within the steel, manufacturing, stockholding, mill or sub-contract industry. You wouldn't have a database to start with, so must have knowledge of how to find and target new business within the above market sectors. The Business Development Executive will play a crucial role in expanding their client base and enhancing the market presence.
Duties:
1. Will be based at our office in Dudley
2. Geographical area you can target: UK
3. Would be expected to be on the road 3-4 days a week
4. Researching and targeting potential new customers
5. Making your own appointments
6. Writing of reports from visits
7. Able to forge good relationships with engineers and buyers
8. Able to plan their own diary for the week
9. Current clean driving licence
10. Must have experience in selling into engineering/manufacturing/fabrication companies
11. You will be selling sub-contract laser cutting and folding
12. Computer literate
13. Hours in the office: 8-5 Monday to Thursday, 8-4.30 Fridays
14. Hours will vary to suit your appointments
15. Reporting to the director
Experience:
1. Proven experience in business development or sales roles
2. Some knowledge of drawings would be advantageous
3. Must have experience in selling into engineering/manufacturing/fabrication companies
4. Some knowledge of steel is required
5. Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with clients at all levels
6. Demonstrated ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
7. Strong analytical skills with a focus on achieving targets and driving results
8. A proactive approach to problem-solving with the ability to adapt strategies based on market feedback
