Worley are looking to engage a highly motivated individual to join the Site Team based on a Project within the UK.
Join us as a Mechanical Maintenance Supervisor where you will support the supervision of all aspects of the mechanical scheduled maintenance and construction activities with the mechanical technicians and apprentices on site. This will mean regular communication with stores, procurement, service providers, and spares suppliers. Ensuring statutory and maintenance compliance is completed, utilising the INFOR system to document maintenance, while ensuring repairs are correctly recorded.
Specific Roles & Responsibilities
1. Shift work covering days and nights on an 8/6 rotation.
2. Supervising and coordinating the day-to-day scheduled maintenance and construction activities for the equipment used on the surface areas and as directed by the Maintenance manager.
3. Supervise the maintenance at outlaying stations, i.e. Bran Sands saline facility and Lockwood Beck interceptors. Supervision of technicians, apprentices, and contractors within the integrated project maintenance team.
4. Close liaison with the Lead maintenance planner and the Maintenance manager regarding all aspects of scheduled maintenance.
5. Ensuring all Work orders are completed within INFOR, any follow-up repairs, defects and spares orders are also amended and recorded on INFOR. Ensuring statutory compliance in line with Mining Regulations and other various Statutory requirements.
6. Co-ordination of any remedial repairs with equipment hiring companies, repair companies and equipment suppliers, whenever requested by the Maintenance manager; this could mean that overtime could be asked for when required.
7. Co-ordinate site inductions, access permitting for all field technicians visiting the site to carry out planned maintenance & repairs.
8. Liaising with stores and logistics teams regarding equipment & spares arriving on site and removal of equipment off site. Always adhering to the Form 1 process when assessing equipment arriving and leaving site.
9. Carrying out regular site visits across site while on rotation, supporting all maintenance activities planned for the day, being proactive to forward plan intrusive maintenance for the plant on site to maintain efficiency and reliability.
10. Continuously reviewing stores support and spares availability for planned maintenance and repairs, this will include communications with procurement & stores teams. Highlighting any issues at the earliest opportunity to the Maintenance manager, this will allow other avenues to be explored.
Qualifications
Person Specifications – Qualifications and Key Skills
1. NVQ Level 3 Engineering Maintenance or equivalent Electrical Trade Qualification
2. Previous supervisory experience beneficial
3. 5-10 Years’ experience in mechanical maintenance activities planned and unplanned.
4. Experience working at the front end to very tight project timelines in pressure situations.
5. Knowledge of electronic asset management reporting systems.
6. Proactive approach to maintenance on site.
7. Ability to analyse and interpret technical procedures and documentation.
8. Ability to understand drawings and diagrams.
9. Strong communication, networking, collaboration, and well-developed team-working skills, especially in multi-discipline and multi-cultural teams.
10. Have an ‘Incident Free’ mind-set and be a role model for the project team and contractors alike.
11. Demonstrate excellent teamwork skills, being able to work with the various sub-teams to resolve issues and reach decisions that are in the best interests of the integrated project team.
12. Demonstrate a logical systematic approach to work, show initiative, demonstrate resilience, and accept accountability.
13. Display a positive ethical behavior.
14. A full UK driving license is required for this role.
15. A good understanding of water treatment plants, oil purification and gas generators advantageous.
16. Evidence of Safe Isolation of Mechanical systems within the scope of your appointment.
17. Safety qualification.
