We are a dynamic and growing paralegal firm specialising in debt recovery, and we are seeking an experienced, passionate, and organised Administrator to join our dedicated team in Edinburgh. This is a full-time, permanent position offering a competitive salary of £26,000 per annum.
About the Role:
As an Administrator, you will play a vital role in the smooth operation of our firm. The role requires an individual who is passionate about charity, finance, and law, and is eager to contribute to the ongoing success of our business. You will be responsible for a variety of tasks, often requiring the ability to multitask effectively within a fast-paced and dynamic work environment.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Credit Control: Oversee and manage outstanding debts, liaising with clients and handling payment arrangements.
2. Banking & Invoicing: Process bank transactions and maintain accurate invoicing records.
3. VAT Management: Ensure compliance with VAT regulations and assist in preparation of returns.
4. Client Accounts: Manage and maintain client account records, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
5. Document Filing & Office Duties: Organise and file legal documents, maintaining an orderly office environment.
6. Supervising Mock Court Charity: Oversee the planning, organisation, and execution of our mock court charity events, ensuring they run smoothly and in line with our charitable objectives.
7. Website & Social Media Management: Take charge of updating and maintaining the company’s website, and manage social media platforms to enhance our digital presence.
Essential Requirements:
1. Minimum of 2 years' experience in an administrative role, preferably within the legal, finance, or charity sector.
2. Preferable Qualifications: HR or supervision experience is highly desirable.
3. Strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment.
4. Knowledge of credit control, banking, VAT, and client account management.
5. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and the ability to adapt to new software.
6. Passionate about charity work, finance, and law.
7. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
8. Experience in website and social media management is desirable.
