We are excited to offer a fantastic opportunity for a Permanent Highways Supervisor to join our dynamic Area 7 team based across East Midlands, located in Pytchley and Rothersthorpe Depot. Within Area 7, we provide maintenance and response across a vast area of some of the UK's busiest motorways and strategic highways across the east midlands and north of England. As many as 180,000 vehicles a day use certain sections of this vital network. The standard hours of work are 45 hours per week with a rotating shift patterning included day and night shifts. What You’ll Do: Carrying out site visits to ensure work is being completed safely, to the required standards and in accordance with the work programme and carrying out site inspections in accordance with contract instructions. Provide any technical support to the team as necessary Briefing the team via regular toolbox talks and safety briefings, ensuring PPE is adhered to correctly and carrying out site safety and environmental inspections in accordance with the contract requirements Ensuring that the team accurately records all work carried out on their PDA so that correct claims can be submitted to the client, ensuring all work is carried out in accordance with the CDM Arranging the correct materials and traffic management set ups, ensuring they are in place for the team to complete their work, in accordance with the specification, and with minimal waste Confirming that the team have the correct permits and stats plans when required and that they are training in the use of Cat and Genny Arranging and processing overtime and timesheets, ensuring that employees are not programmed to work hours in contravention of the working time directive and to ensure correct matching of resources and work Promoting a positive approach about our immediate community and workforce Manage and resolve HR-related issues, including performance management, staff development, and conflict resolution, ensuring a motivated and high-performing team Why Join Us?
