This may include the formal briefing of design/external communication agencies. Lead on the planning, production and distribution of regular internal/external communications mechanisms. Support the timely and accurate production and quality distribution of key internal documents. When requested, take an active part in managing communications for events and other external communication activities. Lead on providing internal communications support and advice to staff within the organisation and develop communications materials to support this. Proactively seek out opportunities and information to ensure your own knowledge is up to date and assist the communications department in making the best use of existing and emerging technology in relation to communications. Assisting in writing briefings for senior managers, Board members and wider stakeholders. Working closely with other health and care organisations/agencies as required to ensure consistent and co-ordinated media handling. Sourcing positive news stories within the organisation. Manage own workload prioritising where necessary. Maintain confidentiality in relation to sensitive matters being dealt within the communications department, demonstrating respect and understanding when communicating in all forms. You will use your excellent communication skills, which enables the post holder to provide and receive complex and sensitive information to interpret into key messages for stakeholders Analyse and interpret complex information to inform the delivery of communication activities, deciding how to present key messages to internal or external audiences Plans, organises a range of communication activities, with some requiring complex planning due to sensitive messaging. Arranges meetings, events stakeholder conferences and coordinates communication campaigns. Produce publications, presentations and processing documents Follow ICB communication policies, procedures and protocols, highlighting any necessary changes/adaptations to ensure continuous development. Support managers to order marketing materials, source advertising and printing services working closely with budget holders. Specialist knowledge of Microsoft Office software to create range of communication materials, such as press releases, publications and presentations. Responsible for updating and monitoring a range of communication applications and databases. Working knowledge of external web software to monitor communication delivery, including website software, social media management tools, media monitoring systems and stakeholder management databases. Undertakes audits or surveys as necessary to the role. Responsible for planning and implementing communication projects and works closely with their line manager to follow departmental communication policies, procedures and protocols, managing their own workload and at times working independently.
