Chief of Staff Arkle Finance Wellingborough, NN8 4BX The Chief of Staff (CoS) plays a crucial role, acting as the right hand to the Managing Director and a key advisor to the Arkle Finance Executive Committee. In this position, you will manage essential business initiatives, facilitate cross-functional collaboration, drive strategic projects to successful completion, and lead organisational changes within the business lending sector. Additionally, the CoS will be instrumental in exploring new strategic initiatives and product development, ensuring smooth cooperation between the Technology and Operations departments. What we are looking for: Extensive experience in senior leadership roles, such as Chief of Staff, Business Manager, or similar. Proven capability to drive top-down change in a consistently growing business. In-depth knowledge and experience of the Financial Services industry. Demonstrated experience in strategic planning and business management in fast-paced environments. This role is based in our Wellingborough head office 3 days a week, 2 from home. What your role will involve: Act as a trusted advisor to the Managing Director, providing high-level strategic support and assisting in decision making. Identify opportunities for new product development and explore strategic growth initiatives in asset finance. Supporting the creation, communication and implementation of the organisation’s strategy and business plan to assist Arkle in achieving its planned objectives. Drive cross functional collaboration between Technology, Operations, and other departments to enhance operational efficiency. Take ownership of special projects on behalf of the MD that are in line with leadership objectives. Support Managing Director with strategic communications, including all colleague updates and governance reports. Attend meetings on behalf of the Managing Director providing summaries and actionable insights. Prepare materials for executive presentations and board meetings. Develop and implement learning and development programs aimed at upskilling managers. Facilitate leadership training sessions and ensure managers are equipped with the tools to manage teams effectively. Work closely with the L&D team to design career progression plans for key talent within the company. Assisting with coaching and mentoring to managers to foster leadership skills. Oversee day-to-day operations within Technology and Operations to ensure smooth functioning ensuring effective communication between Technology and Operations departments to drive project success. Identify bottlenecks in processes and work with department heads to implement improvements. Monitor key performance metrics across departments, ensuring alignment with business objectives. Lead special projects from conception through execution, ensuring timely delivery.
