We are seeking a strong and values driven lead General Practitioner (GP) to join our Urgent Treatment Centre; whilst working alongside fellow GP's, ACP's and ENP's within the UTC we expect the post holder to deliver and meet the NHS UTC Standards with high quality and effective urgent primary care, lead on clinical pathways and standards, lead on clinical governance and professional development of the UTC GPs and ACPs.
Our aim is to develop the UTC as a learning environment for doctors in training and are seeking an enthusiastic and skilled educationalist to take this forward.
We expect the post holder to undertake clinical sessions within the UTC alongside the leadership role. This is an excellent opportunity for an established GP to further develop clinical management and leadership experience in a multi-professional setting. You will have a track record of excellence in care delivery, have experience of leadership and change in a related setting., With the Clinical Director, lead the UTC team taking responsibility and being accountable for all aspects of the UTC and its performance, including the delivery of operational KPI's and financial management.
Working closely with the Divisional Director, Directorate Managers, Divisional Nurse Director, Interim Deputy Head of Nursing and Matrons in ensuring that a safe and effective patient service is always delivered, in line with national and locally agreed standards ensuring effective and efficient use of resources.
To lead, as part of the division, the senior management team within the Directorate and facilitate delivery of objectives in partnership with colleagues.
To lead and develop a culture of continuous improvement across the UTC service
To lead the clinical governance agenda within the service and ensure appropriate governance arrangements are in place.
To lead on and respond to audits, incidents and complaints and ensure learning is embedded in the service
