Job summary
Band 4 Assistant Financial Accountant- Charitable Funds 24 hours per week
The Financial Reporting team are seeking to recruit an individual who is highly motivated with experience of working in Finance.
The post holder will provide support to fund holders and donors by ensuring good quality of service. They will also be responsible for maintaining the North Cumbria Hospital Charity systems in accordance with the Charities Commission Regulations.
Main duties of the job
The post holder duties will include:
1. Prepare the monthly charitable fund reconciliations.
2. Assist in the production of reports for the Charitable Funds Committee.
3. Assist with the development of charitable fund statements
4. Monitor income from legacies, gift for giving (tax incentives) and fundraising initiatives to ensure that the Trust's interests are maintained.
5. Acknowledge donations received on behalf of the Charity as required.
6. Act as the point of contact for solicitors who contact the Trust with respect to disbursing legacies due to the Charity.
7. Provide specialist financial advice in relation to charitable funds to charitable fund holders and other interested parties.
