Job Title : NDT technician level 2 Reporting To: Manager, Manufacturing Work Schedule: Onsite – Wolverhampton, GBR Moog Aircraft Group is looking for an experienced NDT inspector, to join the team at our facility based in Wolverhampton. At Moog, we're focused on the customer and for us, this means designing complex mechanical products that are often bespoke and high profile. Our team works with exceptionally close tolerance, an essential requirement of the aerospace industry. In this role, you will be required to have the skills and knowledge to set up and standardise equipment, process / inspect parts in the NDT techniques applicable to dye penetrant, magnetic particle, visual and acid etch inspection methods. Have the ability to interpret and evaluate for acceptance or rejection, and document results. The successful candidate must have proof of training, EN4179 / NAS410 certification and experience at level 2 for the NDT methods and applications. Note: Level 1 certified candidates may be considered. Key Responsibilities Setting up, perform and document NDT process control checks. Ability to generate NDT technique data sheets for level 3 approval. Interpreting test results. Complete test reports and present findings. Have the capability to read and understand technical standards and engineering drawings. Assist in audits and ensure continued compliance with the company’s quality accreditations e.g. Nadcap, UKAS. Be aware of and uphold the provisions of all codes, standards and regulations under which you are working to. Adapt to lean practices in line with Moog’s principles. Able to work on own initiative or as part of a team. Be self-motivated and self-disciplined. Key Expertise A recognized engineering apprenticeship (desirable). Be computer literate. Attention to detail & accuracy, and process improvement techniques. Flexible enough to be given any appropriate task within the department that fits skill level. The role requires the candidate to be self-certified and a quality stamp holder after the qualifying period. This role may require the individual to work a shift pattern and overtime when requested.
