Unified Welfare is seeking to appoint the role of Registered Children's Home Manager.

We are looking for an experienced, enthusiastic, and dynamic Registered Manager for our brand new 2-bed children's home based in Blackburn, Lancashire. We are seeking someone with a minimum of 2 years management experience and experience of working with young people aged 8-17 who display challenging behaviour and are diagnosed with mild learning difficulties.
Main Purpose of Role:
Registered Managers are responsible for delivering care that is focused on obtaining the best outcomes for each of our children who live in the home. The Registered Manager should be able to demonstrate good leadership skills and be able to organise, support, supervise, and mentor staff in order to provide the best possible care for each young person.
The ideal candidate would hold a Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care and Children and Young People's Services – Management (or equivalent) or be willing to work towards this. However, you must hold a minimum of Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent). Experience of managing and supervising staff, excellent written and verbal communication skills, and leadership skills are imperative. A sound knowledge of the Children's Act 1989, Care Standards Act 2000, Children’s Home Regulations, and National Minimum Standards is also required, along with a good knowledge and understanding of all safeguarding procedures and legislation.
The candidate must also meet Regulation 28 of the Children's Homes Regulations.
This is a full-time role – 40 hours per week with the expectation of on-call duties.
