I’m delighted to be partnering again with a global tech / electronics giant on their new Talent Development Specialist vacancy. This will be a hybrid role, with 3 days per week required in their office in Chertsey (essential). Salary £43,000 – £48,000 plus benefits.
This role will support their Talent Development Team, European L&D and HR communities on learning and development activities. The role will be responsible for owning the coordination and administration of key L&D activities across Europe and will help enable the successful delivery of both regional and global (HQ) projects and initiatives in alignment with the European L&D strategy.
Key responsibilities:
* Support the operational day-to-day activities of L&D, liaising closely with subsidiaries (especially Central & Eastern Europe), HQ L&D (in Korea), our Shared Service Centre and external vendors.
* Project management, including regional & HQ driven initiatives.
* Partner with the Sales & Marketing School in Korea to ensure the smooth preparation, launch, monitoring and execution of their annual curriculum (eLearning & Workshops) in Europe.
* Act as L&D key systems subject matter expert (SME) for, including Cornerstone LMS, and our cost management system. This includes partnering with our Shared Service Centre to upskill the L&D community through the creation and deployment of training guides and virtual training calls/workshops.
* Support leadership programmes, onboarding workshops, one-off trainings and events that are owned and run from the EO TD team, such as logistic arrangements, material preparations, communications etc.
* As you settle into the role, it has scope for some moderation or small facilitation of the monthly European Onboarding Workshop (virtual), as part of a wider team/rotating group of facilitators.
* Build trust-based relationships with Subsidiary HR / L&D team members, helping to maintain a strong and trusted European L&D Community.
* Ensure Regional (European) L&D content is consistently branded and recognisable.
* Support the coordination of, and participate in L&D conferences, task force meetings and other events as required.
* Be willing to travel within Europe and potentially to our HQ in Korea should the need arise.
What we need for this role:

* Able to coordinate multiple priorities simultaneously, sustain energy levels and adapt effectively to unexpected issues in a fast-moving environment.
* Experience in supporting and administering high profile projects across multiple countries (the skills acquired are more important than the project subject matter).
* Excellent communication skills (written and verbal), experience of communicating cross-culturally and with senior stakeholders a significant advantage.
* Exceptional interpersonal skills and able to network successfully.
* Confidence to take responsibility for issue resolution activities, advancing where necessary / communicating outcomes for team awareness.
* Ability to rapidly create and manipulate data (especially Excel data) and extrapolate key insights and trends.
* Engaging and confident presentation skills.
* A strong team player who is willing to support the wider HR team if necessary.
* The ability to create engaging content i.e. to internally promote talent development and related activities is highly desired.
* Must possess excellent Word, Excel and PowerPoint skills.
* Strong IT literacy.
Highly desirable:
* Experience of working with Workday (HRIS), an LMS (preferably Cornerstone) and basic content authoring (SCORM).
* A good understanding of the principles of coaching and / or have a keen interest in developing coaching and, potentially psychometric skills, to support the deployment of a coaching culture in the business.
* Ability to deliver / facilitate occasional training.
