We are seeking a dynamic and strategic Head of D2C Growth Planning to lead our Planning department and team. This role will oversee the development and execution of annual and long-term planning models, provide strategic insights to drive Direct-to-Consumer (D2C) growth, and manage cross-functional collaboration at a senior level. The ideal candidate will have a strong analytical mindset, exceptional leadership skills, and the ability to influence and drive business performance in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Planning Leadership:
* Lead the development and management of a comprehensive D2C subscriber growth model, including detailed forecasting of tiers, acquisition channels, retention, marketing spend, and subscribers.
* Own the D2C reforecasting and long-range planning (LRP) process, ensuring alignment with business goals and market dynamics.
* Define and implement best practices for planning processes, ensuring data-driven decision-making at all levels.
* Act as the central point of contact for all D2C planning initiatives, working closely with senior leadership to align on growth objectives.
* Support the development of our quarterly marketing plans through collaborative participation in the budgeting process and market prioritisation initiatives.
D2C Growth Strategy & Business Insights:
* Identify and evaluate new opportunities for subscriber growth, leveraging data-driven insights and market analysis.
* Collaborate with marketing, finance, analytics, content and B2B partnership teams to develop and refine strategies that drive acquisition, retention, and overall business performance.
* Support senior leadership with in-depth analysis and business cases to inform strategic decisions, ensuring a proactive and innovative approach to growth.
* Provide thought leadership in understanding the commercial dynamics of subscription services, ensuring strategies are informed by market trends and business objectives.
Stakeholder & Team Leadership:
* Lead and develop a high-performing planning team, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and excellence.
* Build strong relationships with key stakeholders across marketing, brand, finance, analytics, and content teams to ensure seamless execution of planning initiatives.
* Influence and engage with senior executives, presenting complex data insights in a clear and actionable manner.
* Champion cross-functional collaboration, ensuring teams are aligned and working towards shared growth objectives.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
* Proven experience leading a planning or strategy function, preferably in a subscription-based or D2C environment.
* Exceptional analytical skills with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights for senior leadership.
* Strong commercial acumen and deep understanding of subscription service KPIs and growth levers.
* Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with experience presenting to and influencing senior executives.
* Ability to operate in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with multiple stakeholders and competing priorities.
* Strategic thinker with a proactive and problem-solving mindset, able to navigate ambiguity and drive business impact.
