The role
Due to growth, we are seeking a dedicated and proactive qualified internal auditor (Compliance) to join our team based at our Preston office. This role will require travel which includes mainly central England, Wales and Scotland. You will report directly to the Group Compliance Manager, completing internal audits across the Group.
Responsibilities include
1. Assist in the development of the annual Group audit plan
2. Schedule and arrange internal audits in line with the audit plan
3. Communicate the findings of an audit via written reports and presentations
4. Making recommendations to improve or strengthen internal controls
5. Analysing audit data to determine the effectiveness of Group systems
6. Participating in the continuous improvement of audit processes and procedures
7. Assist in the development of reports to senior management
The successful candidate will have internal auditing experience to ISO 9001, 14001, 45001 and 27001 and be qualified to internal auditor level. In addition, you will have experience in developing business risk assessments and knowledge in business continuity planning, along with experience in change management. You will also have an awareness of GDPR. It goes without saying that you will have exceptional communication skills both verbal and written, with excellent administration skills and be familiar with Microsoft office packages. This role requires a clean UK driving license.

9. Able to demonstrate good auditor attitudes and behaviours through experience
10. Experience in auditing a range of ISO standards
11. Preferred experience in the built environment
12. Excellent working knowledge of MS Office (Excel and Outlook in particular)
13. Ability to prioritise and handle large volumes of work
14. Ability to meet deadlines and work on own initiative
