This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to the success of an educational institution by managing its financial operations and supporting its leadership team. Key Responsibilities: Oversee the organisation and execution of all financial activities, including payroll, pensions, and budget management. Advise on compliance with financial legislation and guidance (e.g., ESFA, DfE). Manage financial reporting, including monthly management accounts, audits, and statutory returns. Lead and develop the finance team, ensuring efficient systems and processes are in place. Monitor cash flow, oversee banking and reconciliations, and ensure accurate VAT accounting. Drive income generation through funding applications, sponsorships, and fundraising. What We’re Looking For: AAT qualification (or part-qualified accountant) or significant financial experience, ideally in an education setting. Strong knowledge of financial controls, budget preparation, and reporting. Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and manage a team. Proficiency in finance software and advanced Excel skills. Experience with systems like IRIS or SIMS is an advantage.
