A leading supplier of IT Services and Software to the Retail Industry, providing EPOS Solutions and Software to both small and large retailers is now looking for an IT Technical Support Apprentice to cover a host of duties. This is an excellent opportunity to begin an IT career and gain experience in a wealth of disciplines.
Daily duties will include:
1. Log Incoming Support Calls
2. Assist the Senior Support Engineer(s) with Internal and External (Client) Support (Hardware & Software)
3. Deal promptly with Support Calls and allocate to appropriate engineer in the absence of the Senior Support Engineer
4. Input and update information onto the Maintenance Logging System
5. Inform clients of Support Log Reference Numbers & update Clients as Required
6. Undertake / assist with System installations – Internal and External
7. Provide Out of Hours Support on a Rota Basis (after probation)

Minimum of 4 X GCSE’S grade A-C including English and Maths

Training to be Provided
ICT Level 3 Apprenticeship Standard:
Qualification together with onsite training by the employer.
For those starting at Advanced (Level 3), the expected duration would be eighteen months. There is an opportunity to progress on to the Higher Apprenticeship (Level 4) and ultimately on to a Degree Apprenticeship.
