We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Therapy Assistant to join the Dorset Pain Management Service. The successful candidate will ideally have experience of working with patients with long-term conditions, but if not, please do get in touch anyway, as full training and support will be provided.
The post holder will work alongside clinical staff but also carry a caseload providing individual and group programmes of care to support individuals in self-managing their persistent pain and improving their quality of life. The post holder will be expected to support people face-to-face in clinic, online, and also in their own homes/community settings.
The Therapy Assistant will deliver therapeutic plans and interventions under the supervision of the clinical team.

Main duties of the job

Evaluate patient conditions (and other factors) and adapt treatment as necessary including, where appropriate, referral to other agencies and signposting. Discuss patient's progress and needs with other professionals and agencies involved in the patient's care.
