Description We are seeking an International Tax Manager to undertake the day-to-day management of the UK and International Tax obligations of the Collectibles vertical within the Fanatics Group. This is a full time role based 4-days per week in-office out of either our London or Milton Keynes office. Qualifications, Skills & Experience ACA/ACCA or CTA qualified/part qualified or other qualification with 3 years experience in a tax role. Highly organised individual Ideally, but not compulsory, possess knowledge and experience of UK/EU VAT law and compliance processes Ideally, but not compulsory, a basic knowledge of book to UK tax adjustments and capital allowances, etc. Strong communicator given likely to be liaising with both US, EU, Aus and UK tax professionals. Strong work ethic and flexibility to work as and when required in peak periods, to ensure deadlines are met. Highly IT literate: Microsoft Excel, use of financial reporting tools High levels of attention to detail but can also look at the ‘bigger picture’ and sense check from a high level. The key responsibilities of the post are: VAT Ensure compliance at all times with VAT laws and regulations not just in the UK, but across Europe and Rest of the World Preparation and submission of monthly UK VAT returns for Topps Europe Limited. Preparation/management of ad hoc VAT claims/opportunities and their submissions to HMRC. Preparation of information in relation to EU and Rest of World VAT Returns and liaising with our compliance partners, managing the process through to submission. Working closely with the US Tax team on the preparation and submission US Sales Tax Returns. UK Tax Compliance Assist with the management of the UK compliance process. Preparing tax packs for the preparation of the UK Corporation Tax returns for UK group companies (compliance outsourced currently). Assist with the preparation of capital allowance analysis. Preparing tax forecasts and providing regular updates to the US corporation tax team. Tax Accounting Preparation of year end group and single entity statutory account disclosures. Regular review of group forecasts, for accounting and tax planning. Liaison with external auditors Other Assisting the wider business with decision making on commercial aspects to ensure most tax efficient outcome. Assistance with identifying any overseas tax risks associated with overseas contracts and providing information to third party advisors to prepare overseas tax returns where necessary. Assistance with obtaining country of residency certificates from the UK tax authorities and reviewing withholding taxes deducted by third party commercial partners. Assistance with monitoring and testing controls for Senior Accounting Officer and Corporate Criminal Offence purposes. Work with existing team to improve/ensure appropriate tax related control/review procedures in place, in line with Sarbanes Oxley requirements. Work with the US Tax Director on ad-hoc projects including Transfer Pricing Work with HR & Payroll functions and external advisors on employment related taxation Provide ad-hoc training and advice to Finance Team and other business functions on relevant taxation matters The above list of job duties is not exclusive or exhaustive and the post holder will be required to undertake such tasks as may reasonably be expected within the scope and grading of the post.
