About the role
Morrison Water Services is recruiting for a Site Manager to work on our Anglian Water contract in Colchester. As the Site Manager, you will be part of our Construction Team, managing projects from inception to completion.
This site-based role requires regular communication with other members of the delivery team based in our local office. Working under the Construction Manager, the Site Manager will be responsible for the day-to-day management of Supervisors, delivery teams, and sub-contractors on site.
The role will require effective utilisation of time and resources to meet budgets and delivery programmes. As Site Manager, you will be expected to implement and monitor health, safety, quality, and performance standards, ensuring all work meets required water industry regulations and AW approved standards.
You will be accountable for SHEQ performance of Projects, including undertaking and recording findings of periodic SHEQ visits. Act as an ambassador for the company by supporting, promoting, and implementing all company and Business Unit initiatives.
Committed to driving cultural change into the Delivery and Design Teams, you will work on eliminating/minimising physical and non-physical waste – i.e. recycling techniques, workshop recharges, standing time, etc.
Your responsibilities will include communicating and recording all Corporate, SHEQ, and Business Unit briefings, ensuring all briefings/inductions are recorded on relevant forms and retained for reference. You will ensure appropriate welfare is available for use and well maintained throughout the construction phase, and that all site personnel hold relevant qualifications and training to carry out their duties.
You will be accountable for the timely completion of multiple concurrent projects, safely and within budget. Attend internal and external review and progress meetings, coordinate and liaise with suppliers, specialist sub-contractors, in-house functions, and site installation & construction teams. Monitor SHEA, legislative & programme performance of sub-contractors as per your own team.
Health and Safety issues on site will form part of your role, including the completion of paperwork such as weekly safety & environmental inspections, tool-box talks, site-specific risk assessments, and method statements.
