Alan Patterson Design are a small architectural practice based in Helens Bay, specialising in housing developments from one-off bespoke homes to urban master planning. We are currently seeking to recruit an experienced Administrative Assistant for maternity cover. This role consists of general administration duties within an architectural practice and to assist the office manager. Employment type: Full-time, Monday to Friday Contract: Maternity cover - temporary, with the potential to move to permanent for the right candidate Location: Darragh House, 112 Craigdarragh Road, Helens Bay BT19 1UB Desired skills Highly competent in using Microsoft Office and Outlook Knowledge / experience of using accounting software such as Quickbooks Good communication skills Adaptability and willingness to learn Duties and responsibilities Front-face of the company / meet and greet clients and visitors to the office Following formats of distributing information (emails, letters etc.) Sensitivity around confidentiality Printing and scanning of drawings Accounting sending out invoices to clients and monthly statements and working alongside external accountants to address any queries / VAT bills etc. Ensuring smooth running of the small but busy office on a daily basis Desirable criteria Good interpersonal skills Diligence and responsible for own work Ability to get to the office and potential travel through work Benefits Enrolment in company pension scheme Provision of private health insurance after 5 years service Additional holiday allowance after 5 years service To be considered for this position, please click APPLY to send us your up-to-date CV.
