Due to growth, the position of Project Engineering Manager has be available to join our client in their Manchester office working hybrid from home half the week. The Project Engineering Discipline provides multidisciplinary engineering team leadership and coordination across the engineering project lifecycle for the Energy, Water, Transport, nuclear and Defence sectors. They are growing the engineering team for UK projects in the water sector.
We are keen to hear from candidates with significant experience of acting in a Project Engineering manager role in wastewater/clean water on infrastructure and non-infrastructure projects and throughout the entire project lifecycle: from needs and solution identification, optioneering, outline design and detailed design in a design and build environment.Working arrangement: This is a hybrid role with 2/3 days based at the Manchester office with the option for dynamic working.This is a fantastic opportunity to join a career-enhancing project where you will be a wee member of the wider team.
Role Requirements• HNC or Degree qualified in Engineering or equivalent.• 10 years or more experience in coordinating multidisciplinary teams the various stages of the project life cycle in the water sector.• Significant knowledge and understanding of project controls, scheduling, cost and risk management.• Experience in wastewater/clean water on infrastructure and non infrastructure projects.• Strong engineering and business systems knowledge.• Champions Sustainability Safety, Health and Environment by putting personal safety and wellbeing at the heart of everything we do and helping the environment andmunities to thrive
Ensuring all engineers fully understand the detailed scope, basis of design, budget and programme requirements of the project.Co-ordination of Engineering and Design interfaces between across other project partners / supply chain partners. Management of contractualmunications, supporting progress meetings, risk reduction meetings, cost reports, coordinating multidisciplinary design teams and running / closing out contract actions
Providing amercial focus with a high level of challenge on project scope and protecting against uncontrolled scope creep
Ensuring effective deployment and use ofpany engineering delivery processes on projects including engineering design strategy; master deliverable plan, project schedule, work/cost breakdown structure; process safety management and engineeringernance process.
