Job Introduction
We are looking for an enthusiastic Bank Healthcare Assistant to join our talented team at Freshney Green, Grimsby.
As a Bank Healthcare Assistant, you will provide support to nursing and medical staff by assisting in minor surgery and delivering other dermatological services to patients undergoing treatment. You will join a dedicated multidisciplinary team that provides innovative community-based healthcare for Dermatology patients.
This is an exciting post offering the opportunity to cover a wide range of duties and skills, which will be taught through practical hands-on learning where full training will be provided.
You will be based at our Freshney Green, Grimsby clinic employed on a Bank basis to suit your schedule.
Main Responsibility
As a Bank Healthcare Assistant, your duties will be varied and may include:
1. Assisting with minor skin surgery
2. Undertaking training to develop your skills in order to carry out Scrub Assistant duties for enhanced procedures (with Plastic Surgeon and Maxillo-Facial Surgeon)
3. Carrying out phototherapy treatments under supervision
4. Carrying out PUVA/Iontophoresis under supervision
5. Recording room and fridge temperatures and cleanliness daily
6. Ordering stock
7. Monitoring stock/unpacking stock
8. Restocking rooms/theatres at the end of the day
9. Undertaking monthly facilities audits
10. Maintenance of accurate medicine stock and records of use (Medicine Management)
